We also require a professional to see your child at least once over a three-week period.
This could include:
· a wellbeing or activity home visit from a member of school staff,
· Skye or Facetime call between pupil and tutor,
· A visit from social worker/ physio/ community nurse where they inform school of their visit and your child’s wellbeing,
If your child attends school while at hospital, please let us know and we will endeavour to support the hospital Teacher with targets etc.
Your teacher can provide home school activities on request.
What will happen if absence is not reported
If when registration closes your child is noted as Absent without reason (N) our prime concern will be for the safety of you and your child.
1. A member of the admin team will contact you; they may call or send a text asking for you to contact the school.
2. If there is no response from you, we will also use your 2nd or 3rd emergency contact person noted on your child’s data collection sheet, asking them to contact school.
3. If no contact has been received by 10.45 information will be passed to a member of the Senior Leadership team as your child would now be considered ‘missing’.
The Senior leadership and safeguarding team will arrange a home visit.
Appointments
You are always welcome to visit school, call or meet with a member of the class team or the senior leadership team. Please ring to make an appointment to ensure that the member of staff is available to see you. If you wish to speak to a member of staff then they will phone back during the day outside of teaching time. You will be required to inform the Admin team the reason for your call or visit so they can correctly support you.
Lunches and Snacks
We provide high-quality meals which are prepared each day by our onsite team. We use fresh, local produce and provide a balanced, nutritious diet in line with government policy.
We regularly give parents the opportunity to sample our food and feedback is excellent. Ofsted stated: 'Catering across the school site is of a high standard and provides pupils with a range of healthy and nutritious meals'.
Lunches are purchased through ‘ParentPay’. Please speak to the staff in reception to request the login information.
Lunches are free for pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. Pupils in Year 3 to Year 6 cost £2.80.
Universal free school meals are provided for pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. However, if you feel your child fits the criteria for FSM we ask that you still apply so they can benefit from a pupil premium grant. Any pupil who meets the FSM criteria will be eligible to claim until March 2020, even if your economic situation changes.
If you think you may be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM), please complete the FSM form inside this pack.
Pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are provided with milk and fruit free of charge, any other snack must be provide by home and sent in daily. If your child is in Year 3 onwards and you would like your child to have a drink other than water at snack times, please send these into school daily.
Most classes allocate 15 minutes for snack time so please bare this in mind when selecting snacks for your child.
We advocate healthy eating, but we do appreciate that for some of our pupil’s high calorie intake is vital and so the snack you provide is at your discretion.
Please do not bring nuts into school due to allergies.

Reheating Food from Home
Re-heating food from home
We have taken guidance from the Food Standards Agency in regard to re-heating food sent in from home. Due to a variety of health and safety reasons and keeping all our children safe, we are unable to re-heat foods. You are welcome to send your child’s lunch in an insulated food flask, such as a Thermos flask, these usually keep food warm for 8 hours or more.
Please don not send Nuts into School.
